The aim of the program is the improved implementation of land policies by African institutions and professionals. Important fields of action are the establishment of a "Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa" (NELGA) for the improvement of training and further education capacities in the fields of land management and land policy in Africa, as well as the promotion of on-demand research in Africa and measures for monitoring and evaluationand knowledge exchange. - The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research will once again issue the "Green Talents - International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development". Young scientists from all over the world are invited to apply for one of the coveted 25 places till 23rd of May 2018.
The competition, which has existed since 2009, is aimed at outstanding young scientists from the field of sustainable development. The winners will be invited to a two-week science forum in Germany, where they will visit important sites of German sustainability research, get an overview of the German research landscape and meet German experts for individual talks. This journey lays the foundation for the second part of the award, a fully-funded research stay in Germany of up to three months.
